Search for your destination in Naver Map or KakaoMap and choose public transport. Look at the entire journey before leaving: the walk to the stop, the bus number, the direction, the stop where you leave, and the final walk. 

A matching bus number on the opposite side of the road can take you away from your destination. Compare the stop name and the next stops with your chosen route. Save the destination in Korean so you can show it if you need help.

Keep your card somewhere accessible and separate it from other contactless cards when tapping. Do not wait until you are standing beside the reader to look for it at the bottom of a backpack. 

The Korea Tourism Organization notes that cashless buses are expanding. Its city-bus guide recommends using a transport card and explains the usual front-door boarding and rear-door exit arrangement. Tap when boarding and alighting; any transfer discount depends on the local rules and your journey. 

If you are new to the card, read what T-Money is and how it works. Check the balance before a day involving several rides. Receiving a free physical card with a bundle should not be treated as confirmation that transport credit is included; check the offer and load the balance you need.

Once safely aboard, move away from the entrance. Keep bags close and hold a rail if you are standing. Leave enough space for passengers to move toward the exit. 

Watch the stop display and follow your position in the map app. Treat the app as an extra cue rather than the only cue: look outside and listen for announcements too. This is especially useful when two stop names look similar in English. 

When your stop is approaching, press the stop button and make your way toward the exit when safe. Tap your card at the exit reader before getting off. Avoid rushing across a moving bus because the map suddenly says you have arrived.

For a first bus trip, choose a simple route with few changes. A slightly longer direct journey can be easier than a tightly timed connection between unfamiliar stops. 

Check the return journey before traveling to an outlying attraction. A route that works well at lunchtime may be less convenient later. For an airport connection or reserved train, build in a buffer rather than using the shortest app estimate as a promise. 

If you miss your stop, get off safely at the next suitable stop and recalculate. Do not assume crossing the road puts you beside the return stop.
